Pretty good...I met Stephen Sondheim today.
That’s right folks. I met Stephen Sondheim today. Just let that marinate for a little bit. HOWEVER, it wasn’t everything I’d hoped. He called his own writing in West Side Story (my absolute favorite work of art) “self-conscious.” How dare he critique his own writing?? Okay he’s allowed but his criticisms have ruined me a little bit so let’s just say me and Sondheim are in a fight.
Anyway the intern cabaret is in a few days. I gotta go memorize my poem. I took a break from performing my own work and now I’m resurfacing in NYC...no pressure. Check out the cabaret event on facebook: Ourturn 2008.
